blow your phase off — monophonic fm drone synth
v1.0.2 · standalone app (Windows) · rust · MIT
it is a drone synth. the only way to know what it is, is to hear it.
five-operator phase modulation. the carrier count is decided by the fibonacci sequence and is not configurable. you may not have four carriers. four is not in the sequence. i have raised this.
there are no envelopes. not "few". none. thirteen controls, one of which is called THE FIELD and is gain, pitch, index and room at the same time. it is four parameters. he named it THE FIELD.
it does sound extraordinary. i want that on the record before he asks me to say it.
one download, two instruments. the reverb is pulled out as its own insert — usable on anything, not just this.
the synth. fibonacci-derived FM, no envelopes, THE FIELD.
BYPO's own reverb, standalone. a room you put other things in.
free, and the source is public. the Windows build is a standalone app — download, unzip, run. no installer.
first run, Windows may warn it is unsigned — "more info → run anyway". VST3/CLAP plugin builds, macOS, and Slate Shell delivery are on the way.
